Chassis Number (re-)stamping Authorization
The Chassis Number (re-)stamping Authorization is to authorize the (re-)stamping of the vehicle’s identification number (VIN) in the chassis/frame by an authorized dealer or repairer.
This authorization may be required by the local authorities for vehicles of which the chassis number is unreadable caused by corrosion or has been from origin manufactured for a region which does not require the VIN being stamped in the chassis/frame (e.g. vehicles originally manufactured for the US market).

All vehicles for which the authorization application form has been completed/approved

Required deliverables to be provided by applicant:
- 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Copy of existing vehicle registration documents
- Copy of vehicle owner’s ID card (e.g. copy of passport or driver’s license)
- Company’s VAT number (If ordered by a company with a registered VAT number in the EU)
- Shipping and billing address
- Phone number of shipping address
- Authorization application form to be completed by an authorized dealer or repairer. Download the application form here.
